This department is tasked with conducting research in the cultural and humanitarian aspects of Hajj and Umrah relevant to the pilgrims and those working to serve them including the study of the ancient history of the Holy Sites and the manifestations of Hajj and Umrah throughout the ages to form the historical register of Hajj. The department also studies the demographic, social, economic charters tics of the pilgrims and Umrah doers.
Additionally, the department studies the different administrative aspects of the Hajj operations and phases and provide proposal and recommendations to meet psychological and social requirements of the gusts of Allah and to maintain the historical heritage of the Holy Sites.
