A thermoelectric generator or shortly called TEG module is a circuit containing thermoelectric materials, which generates electricity from heat directly. A thermoelectric module consists of two dissimilar thermoelectric materials joined at their ends: an n-type (with negative charge carriers), and a p-type (with positive charge carriers) semiconductor. Direct electric current will flow in the circuit when there is a temperature difference between the ends of the materials. Generally, the current magnitude is directly proportional to the temperature difference.
Thermoelectric generators offer a myriad of benefits when traditional electricity sources are unsuited or unavailable. Some benefits of using it include:
Present method for electricity generation is converting thermal energy into electrical energy. This project provide the simplest economical pollution free, needed energy solution to the individuals. This work is used for several applications in urban and rural areas wherever power handiness is a smaller amount or altogether absence. This is often a promising technology for resolution power crisis to an inexpensive extent. The reason for this project to be developed is using waste energy to get clean energy voltage.
