The department grants the Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communication Engineering after passing a study program that includes the theoretical, technical and applied aspects needed by engineers in the design and development of electronics and communication systems.

The curricula of this program tackle the different basic and engineering sciences, the methods of engineering design related to telecommunication systems, the methods of electronic design, as well as supplementary subjects in computer engineering, the basics of control, and electrical power. Besides the scientific content, the curricula focus on building the technical and mental skills, as well as the communication skills, of the student.

The study plan of the department enables the student, due to the variety of the optional curricula offered, to focus well on the graduation year, on either communications or electronics, according to the requirements of the local labor market.

The graduates of this department will, Allah willing, find great opportunities for work and employment in the industry of communications and electronics, which are witnessing a great expansion, including working as communication network operators, or in broadcasting and television institutions, satellite communications institutions, and the field of electronic manufacturing and assembly. They are also qualified to work in the field of electronic measurements and sensing used in different industries, and the development of automation systems in production lines.
