Owing to the role of scientific research in the advancement of the educational sciences field, the directives of Education College dean and the Deanships for Scientific Research and Development were issued to activate the Consulting and Statistical Analysis Unit through providing appropriate consulting in the field of statistical analysis, presenting some lectures in the field of statistics and scientific research, holding some training courses on statistical analysis, conducting necessary statistical analyses, and reviewing the results and other services relating to the statistical side in order to support the scientific research and stimulate the affiliates and students of the Higher Studies College.

The unit pursues to become the first expertise hub in the field of consulting and statistical analyses at the domestic, Arab and regional level. It believes that this goal- God willing- will be achieved in light of its vision, message, objectives and partnership with the faculty members and the students of Higher Studies College as well as the scientific research-related departments.

Message:

To provide appropriate statistical consulting to the faculty members and postgraduate students, to present some lectures in the field of statistics and scientific research, to hold some training courses on statistical analysis, to conduct necessary statistical analyses, and to review the results and other services relating to the statistical side.

Objectives:

• Assist in the study design

The unit provides consulting services in designing the research and determining the appropriate approach, sample methods and size, and selecting the right statistical ways. 

• Data-related consultation:

The Unit assists in the training of researchers in entering data into statistical programs, or using two data entry points.

• Select the Statistical Methods

The unit provides statistical services to select the right statistical methods.

• Use of the Statistical Programs

The unit assists researchers in conducting statistical analysis by using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS).

• Explain the Results Outputs

The unit assists researchers in explaining the outputs of the results and how they are being distributed in tables in the final form of the thesis.

• Training Courses

It organizes specialized training courses for the faculty members and postgraduate students in the field of statistical analysis of the statistical data for research; starting with the discharge of questionnaires and data entry, to the necessary statistical analyses and results.

• Fill in the form and send it to the unit email or deliver it by hand.
• Transfer the request to the unit manager.
• Determine the time required to complete the form.
• Work to achieve the required according to the highest standards and specifications.
• Notify the applicant with the request termination
• After providing the service, a questionnaire will be sent to determine the applicant’s satisfaction with the service
• Benefit from the feedback to develop the unit’s services.

• Statement of the Validity of Statistical Analysis:

The unit gives a valid document to the researcher, stating that the statistical aspects of the research have been reviewed and verified.

• The Unit’s Achievements Report

An annual report of the achievements of the unit shall be prepared at the end of each academic year in preparation for submitting it to the Dean of the College after being approved by the Unit's specialist and the vice dean.
