Based on the Umm Al-Qura University (Tamkeen) plan to implement activities and initiatives for the academic year 1442 A.H., the College of Computing in Al-Qunfudhah (female section) organized an awareness lecture as part of the UQU initiative: “A Safe Heart Environment”. The lecture was entitled “A Healthy Heart”, and was held on Monday, 22 February, 2021 A.C., via the WebEx program.

The lecture was presented by Dr. Nazek Mousa, a physician at the College's Medical Clinic, in which she provided valuable information on a healthy heart, explaining its sections, where it is located, the major arteries connected to it, how we reach it, and how to keep it functioning well.

She also explained how to maintain a healthy heart, if heart health is an important decision or a choice, and the most common heart diseases. She then provided advice for a healthy heart, giving examples of things that destroy heart health.

The initiative also included a sports day activity for the college’s female employees with the sports coach Rahma Al-Sumairi. During the sports day, exercises were done in an atmosphere full of joy, vitality, activity, and happiness. The activity took place on Wednesday, 24 February 2021 A.C.

Her Excellency the Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Hanan Al-Ghamdi, expressed her thanks and appreciation to the attending doctor from the College's Medical Clinic, Dr. Nazek Mousa, as well as the sports coach Rahma Al-Sumairi for their active participation in this initiative.
