The College of Computing in Al-Qunfudhah (female section) held a lecture entitled: "The Digital Learning Environment", as part of the events of the World Digital Learning Day, on Monday, 1 March 2021 A.C., remotely via the WebEx platform.

The lecture was delivered by Ms. Noura Al-Bihairi and included important topics on the restructuring of the educational environment with digital learning during the period of the coronavirus pandemic, and the sudden change of the educational environment in the digitization era. The lecture also explained how digital learning supports academic achievement in terms of possibility of multiple learning pathways and building individual confidence in learning.

She also spoke about the concept of the digital student and explained her role in the digital learning environment, which lies on focusing on the goal and realizing the importance of technology in the life of digital students. She added that the student must use the digital potentials for her benefit, to boost thinking and reasoning skills, develop self-learning abilities, and value active participation, which reflects on her attendance at the meetings and constant progress in education. She went on to explain the method of dealing with the digital learning environment and the components of the digital environment, and provided the needed tips for the female students to achieve scientific success in the digital environment.

On her part, Dr. Hanan Al-Ghamdi expressed her thanks and appreciation to Ms. Noura Al-Bihairi for her participation in organizing this lecture.
