The University Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs, represented by the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education, organized the ceremony for the Umm Al-Qura University E-Learning Award in its third phase. The College of Computing in Al-Qunfudhah won the third place in the Umm Al-Qura University E-Learning Award at the university level.

The Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education extended congratulations to the winning colleges in the category of "The Optimal Use of E-Learning Systems", including the College of Computing in Al-Qunfudhah, which won the second place for implementing the e-learning system in the academic year 1440–1441 A.H. The college also won the fourth highest rate among all the branches in the university colleges for the male and female academic staff members who activated the e-learning system and used the e-learning portal during the academic year 1438–1439 A.H., in consideration of the fact that e-learning is one of the key strategies of the Saudi Vision 2030.
