The Department of English Language at Al-Leith University College held a workshop on the difficulties that students face during their study of the psycholinguistics course. This course is considered one of the courses that every male and female student in the department must pass successfully in order to complete the study plan for graduation from the bachelor’s program in English.
Mr. Khalid Hadairi, a lecturer in the department, supervised the workshop in coordination with the Head of the Department, His Excellency Dr. Makhlad bin Awaid Al-Saeedi. The presenter of the workshop explained to the attending students that the challenge for students in understanding the content of this course arise due to the many theories it includes that explain how to acquire language as well as how language is acquired as well as how spoken and written language is produced and perceived, (i.e. in general) which makes understanding this course a challenge for the majority of students. He also indicated the correct methods to deal with the course, and pointed out the most important references that simplify most of the themes that are focused on in the lectures on this topic.
