Under the direct and continuous guidance and close follow-up of the Vice Dean of Al-Qunfudhah University College, Dr. Sharifah Eissa Al-Hazmi, and the supervision of the supervisor of the Voluntary Work Unit, Ms. Arafah Al-Abdali, the Voluntary Work Unit continues its activities in various fields: social, cultural, health, economic, academic, charitable, and educational. In doing so, the unit shows it is well-aware of the importance of volunteering, and acts in line with the strategic plan for the annual activities. The unit is equally interested in achieving the Saudi Vision 2030, and consequently contributes to sustainable development efforts by enhancing and improving voluntary work. In this context, the unit is keen on using volunteer programs commensurate with the needs of society, building a development-based close relationship between the college and society, and promoting the spirit of volunteerism between the female members. This is with the aim of upholding voluntary work and investing the female students' energies in order for them to serve the nation and community.
As a matter of fact, voluntary work is linked to the values and principles of our Islamic religion. It inculcates aspects of goodness in the soul, preserves the values and traditions of the members of society, and establishes effective partnerships between volunteer bodies to develop the volunteers' capabilities and talents. At present, the unit has volunteer teams, new quality programs, events, festivals, initiatives, workshops, and training courses.
The sections of the Voluntary Work Unit include female students, the academic departments in the college, and the voluntary work provided to society. Voluntary work is a national duty, a humane cause, and a basic pillar for promoting social solidarity in civilized and developed societies.
Female students, members of the teaching staff, and all those interested in volunteering can register to take part in the activities undertaken by the Voluntary Work Unit of Al-Qunfudhah University College.
