His Excellency the Dean of Al-Qunfudhah University College, Dr. Omar Al-Hazzazi, the vice deans of Al-Qunfudhah University College, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hazimi and Dr. Salih Al-Zahrani, and some of the faculty members and students at the college attended the lecture released live from Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah, under the title, "Threats to National Security". The lecture was transmitted to the college theater at Al-Qunfudhah University College via closed-circuit television. It was organized today by Umm Al-Qura University, in collaboration with the Presidency of State Security, in King Abdulaziz Historical Hall at Al-Abdiyyah.
Moreover, the female section witnessed serious interaction, in the presence of Her Excellency the Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Sharifah Al-Hazimi, other vice deans of the college, deputy heads of the departments, and some female academic staff members.
Major General Bassam Atiyyah reviewed the Saudi Kingdom's security issues, and the various variables and challenges that it has faced during the successive decades. These are embodied in projects and plans that exert active efforts with regard to homeland security. He further reviewed the fixed frameworks to protect the kingdom's leadership, safeguarding them from terrorism, extremism, and espionage, in light of the organized attempts that were thwarted by the state in several aspects, according to its vision of dealing with these operations and repelling them by analyzing hostile plans.
