Under the auspices of Her Excellency Dr. Nuhair Taha, the Vice Dean of Adham University College, the College Vice Deanship held an awareness-raising lecture titled, "The Outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus Disease". The lecture was offered by Her Excellency Dr. Rayah Ali Sultan, Assistant Professor of Parasites in the Department of Basic Sciences at the University College, on Monday, 16 Jumada Al-Thani, 1441 A.H., for the benefit of the female students and staff.

The lecture introduced the emerging Coronavirus disease, its symptoms, methods of transmission, and the importance of prevention in light of the lack of treatment and vaccine. Moreover, the lecture tackled the differences between the new and old Coronavirus, and addressed the rumors about this disease. Brochures on the methods of prevention and protection against the virus were also distributed.

After the lecture, the female students took the initiative and started to distribute the brochures and personal hygiene items used in the prevention against the disease, such as sterilizers, soaps, and masks, to the affiliates of the college.

This lecture comes as part of the plans of Umm Al-Qura University to activate the awareness-raising campaign on the dangers of the novel Coronavirus
