An Interactive Educational Portfolio, ‘Kuna Keda’, was launched within the activities of ‘My University Is Part of the Holy Land (8)’ under the slogan: ‘Knowledge Community’. The event was held at the College of Designs, represented by the Hajir program of the ‘Glorification of the Holy Land’ project, in partnership with the Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Student Activities and Training (female section), on Wednesday, 21 Rabi` Al-Thani. Her Excellency the Dean of the College, Dr. Rania bint Ali Abdul-Rahman, and a number of vice deans and heads of the departments attended the activities, which took place in the college's events hall at the theater of the College of Designs in Al-Aziziyyah.
The coordinator and the supervisor general of the design and coordination of the activity, Dr. Shuruq bint Ghazi Nahhas, said that the portfolio aims to show various aspects of life in the olden times in Makkah: everyday life, special occasions, Eids, and Makkan craft, using a simple and an interesting style to teach valuable lessons to children, such as simplicity; the importance of the neighborhood; generosity; the spirit of participation; the willingness to help; the community, family and religious cohesion; increasing everyone's awareness about the sanctity and glorification of Makkah, and realizing the close connection between magnifying Allah (the Exalted and Glorious) and the glorification of the Holy Land.
