Thursday morning, 1 Rabi` Al-Thani, 1441 A.H., at Al-Qunfudhah was decorated with the graduation of (1420) outstanding male and female students from the colleges of Al-Qunfudhah branch, including the colleges of: Medicine, Engineering, Computing, and Health Sciences. The ceremony was held in honor of His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, and His Excellency the Governor of Al-Qunfudhah, Mr. Fada Al-Buqami.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the royal anthem was played, and then there was a recitation of the Qur'an. Next, the ceremony supervisor Dr. Muhammad Al-Mat-hami gave a speech, which was followed by the speech of the outstanding students, delivered by Mr. Mudhish Al-Faqih on behalf of the male students and Fatima Al-Amri on behalf of the female students. That was followed by the speech of Her Excellency the Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Sharifah Al-Hazimi, who congratulated the outstanding students. The audience also listened to a poem by Dr. Yahia Al-Zahrani, a recorded speech by the Dean of Al-Qunfudhah University College, His Excellency Dr. Omar bin Abdullah Al-Hazzazi, and the speech of the citizens of Al-Qunfudhah, which was delivered on their behalf by Mr. Amir Al-Amri.

All the audience expressed their joy for this honoring which came in conjunction with the anniversary of the Fifth Pledge of Allegiance to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz. They also appreciated the initiative of honoring the excellent students, as well as the keenness of His Excellency the President of the University, the attention he pays to the students, and the efforts to encourage them through this ceremony and this honoring. Next, His Excellency the Governor of Al-Qunfudhah, Mr. Fada Buqami, delivered a speech in which he expressed his appreciation for the university efforts and its keenness to upgrade the colleges in the provinces. Then His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bahusain Bafail, delivered his speech in which he congratulated the outstanding students, and expressed his keenness and commitment to provide everything required to develop the colleges of the province and also provide an attractive educational environment for the students. After that, he shook hands with the outstanding students and congratulated them.

Moreover, a group of talented students from the third elementary school participated in the ceremony in the females section with a welcoming poem. Next, the college vice deans delivered speeches on this occasion, and also the College Vice Dean for Students Affairs. After that, a poem was delivered by the female members, which was followed by the speech of the outstanding female students, delivered by the representatives of the different departments. A documentary film was then played showing the achievements and developments that had taken place in the female section since the beginning of the academic year in order to upgrade the work in the college and create an attractive educational environment for female students. At the conclusion of the ceremony, shields and certificates were distributed to the outstanding students, and the vice deans of the college and departments were also honored. Finally, lunch was served to the audience at 2:00 p.m. The outstanding female students expressed their satisfaction with this honoring.
