Under the auspices of His Excellency the Dean of the College of Community Service and Continuing Education, Prof. Khalid bin Yusuf Barqawi, the Training Department at the College started a course on Sunday, 7 Safar, 1441 A.H., entitled, "Building Information Modeling (BIM) for the Civil Defense Forces Employees", which lasted for five days at Mira Waterfront Hotel in Jeddah.
This program aims at adopting and carrying out training on modern trends in project management, owing to its ability to control time, cost and speed in resolving risks faced by those working in the departments of the civil defense. Through this program, the user can perform the assigned task with high quality and less cost. In addition, the engineering specifications will satisfy the engineering criteria. In fact, these are regarded as strategic goals for all organizations where this program can be used.
The Head of the Training Department, His Excellency Prof. Salih bin Abdullah Al-Furaih, said that the department seeks to cope with the technological advancements that highly contribute to efficiently improving the institutions performance. According to its strategic plan, the department aims at delivering all courses and training programs that have become an urgent need for organizations seeking to upgrade their work to stages of excellence. It is therefore essential to provide training in techniques that ensure cost reduction, facilitate resource management and the reduction of wastes, in addition to ensuring project management, cost and risk management.
