The Department of English Language in Al-Leith University College organized a workshop to develop English reading and speaking skills, on Tuesday morning, 15 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1441 A.H., for the students of the department. The main aim of the workshop was to develop the students' talents in using English in more professional ways. A large number of students attended the workshop to benefit from the lessons it contained.

The workshop was divided into two parts: the first part focused on the most important communication techniques in English. It also allowed a group of students to participate by applying the techniques they had learned during the workshop. The second part focused on mentioning the most important methods of dealing with and comprehending texts written in English, with the aim of assisting the learners in acquiring a new lexicon of terminology and in understanding the various ways in which texts are structured in English.

The participants expressed their satisfaction with the new techniques they had learned, which would help them continue to improve their proficiency of English language, on their own. They also expressed their pleasure in learning the correct ways of using these techniques. At the end of the workshop, the participants requested the organization of more workshops of this type in the future, due to their importance and benefit to the students.
