Under the auspices of the Vice Dean of the University College in Al-Qunfudhah (female section), Dr. Sharifah Al-Hazimi, the administration of the college, on Thursday, 18 Safar 1441 A.H., held an honorary ceremony for the former vice deans and deputy heads of the departments of the college: Dr. Nuwair Bajabir, Dr. Maryam Al-Zahrani, Ms. Tahrir, Ms. Majdah Farhan, and Ms. Manal Al-Lihayani.

The ceremony program was presented by Dr. Firyal Al-Ali, and coordinated by Dr. Huwayda ِAl-Sayed, in the splendid presence of the deputy heads of the departments; the Vice Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Nawal Al-Hazimi; the administrative and academic staff; the Director and Coordinator of the Media Unit, Dr. Laila Muhammad Al-Sheikhi; directors of the administrative units; and the staff of the administrative and supervisory body.

The ceremony commenced with a recitation of the Qur'an, followed by the Royal Salute. The Vice Dean of the College then delivered a speech welcoming the honored ladies, directing many thanks and gratitude to them for their dedication in the service of the college and its students and employees, and stressing that no appreciation could pay for the efforts they made to promote the college throughout their tenure.

In a recorded speech, His Excellency the Dean of the College, Prof. Omar Al-Hazzazi, congratulated Her Excellency Dr. Sharifah Al-Hazimi on her appointment as the Vice Dean of the College, and Her Excellency Dr. Jazi Abdul-Wahid on her appointment as the Vice Dean for Educational Affairs. He also expressed his great thanks and gratitude to the former vice deans, commending their outstanding efforts in serving the college.

On her part, the Assistant Director of the College, Dr. Nabilah Al-Qahtani, welcomed the former vice deans, stressing that the ceremony was only a token of appreciation to this very loyal team. On their part, the former vice deans thanked all the organizers and participants of the ceremony for their efforts in coordinating and organizing the ceremony, and for inviting them to attend. They expressed their great pleasure for the love, appreciation and loyalty they felt.

At the end of the ceremony, Her Excellency presented souvenirs and bouquets of flower to the former vice deans. Her Excellency also extended her sincere congratulations to Dr. Jazi Abdul-Wahid, Dr. Ashwaq Ragab on her appointment as the Head of the Department of Family Education, Dr. Huwaida Al-Sayed on her appointment as Supervisor of the English Department, Dr. Firyal Al-Ali on her appointment as Academic Coordinator of the Vice Deanship for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, and Ms. Manal Al-Lihyani on her appointment as Coordinator of the Training and Scholarship Unit Programs. May Allah, Glorified and Exalted be He, assist them to shoulder their responsibilities properly, and successfully accomplish the tasks assigned to them. She gave them gifts and bouquets of flowers. The Vice Dean then held a luncheon in their honor.
