On Monday, 13 Jumada Al-Thani, 1440 A.H., the College of Health Sciences in Al-Qunfudhah held its regular meeting for students of the internship year to follow up on their training in hospitals. This meeting was held under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Omar bin Abdullah Al-Hazzazi, the Dean of the College of Health Sciences, and was attended by His Excellency Dr. Mahdi bin Hussain Al-Suqur, the Vice Dean of the College for Academic Development and Entrepreneurship, His Excellency Dr. Naif Al-Sehaimi, the Vice Dean for Hospital Affairs, and His Excellency Prof. Ashraf Uwais from the Department of Medical Emergency Services.
The Dean of the College started the meeting by stating the objectives of the regular meetings for students of the internship year. He also pointed out to them the necessity of commitment and diligence in acquiring skills and diversifying their expertise from the training in hospitals and the Saudi Red Crescent centers.
On his part, the Vice Dean of the College for Development and Entrepreneurship informed the students of the various activities sponsored by the College, such as a conference with employers to facilitate communication between graduates and various recruiters on the "Career Day", and graduate training courses on writing a resume and interview skills.
Moreover, His Excellency the Vice Dean for Hospital Affairs stressed that he personally monitors the performance of students of the internship year by visiting their training sites and meeting with those in charge of the training in different hospitals.
Next, the students submitted their requests to the College Administration, and received letters with details of the posts they had been allocated to in hospitals and the Saudi Red Crescent during the remaining period of the compulsory training year (Internship Year).
At the end of the meeting, commemorative photographs were taken with the Dean of the College, Their Excellencies the Vice Deans, and the Academic Staff.
