Dean of University College in Al-Qunfudhah Meets with Faculty Members

On Tuesday, Muharram 17, 1438H, the Dean of the University College in Al-Qunfudhah, Dr. Hashem bin Ahmed Al-Samadani met with the faculty members at the University College theatre, in the attendance of the college Vice-deans and Heads of departments.

 

Dr. Al-Samadani began the meeting with welcoming the esteemed attendees and congratulating them on the serious beginning of the academic year 1437/1438H. He also delivered the greetings and gratitude of the UQU President, Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas, to the faculty members for their distinction in performing their roles and duties. In addition, Dr. Al-Samadani confirmed that the success of the college is in the success of its faculty members, and he stressed on their role in raising the awareness of the students to maintain the properties of the college; offered by the state for their service. Over and above, he praised the efforts exerted by the faculty members to obtain the academic accreditation, and their achievements in courses and programs development, courses syllabuses, and the serious start in developing the strategic plan of the college.

 

Besides, he added that the entire faculty staff –him included- are meant to be there to serve the students; therefore, they all must accept students’ criticism and recommendations, and continuously seek to enhance their performance and improve the level of the students, through collective work. Concluding, Dr. Al-Samadani extended his gratitude to the faculty members for their commitment to start their lectures seriously on the second week of the academic year. 

 

On his part, the University College Vice-dean, Dr. Muhammad bin Marie Al-Hazimi gave a word on the next steps in the process of obtaining the academic accreditation, and starting the development of the strategic plan of the college right after the end of programs, courses and syllabuses development.

 

At last, an open discussed was held among the esteemed attendees.
