The College of Health Sciences in Al-Qunfudhah held its regular meeting for students of the internship year to follow their training in hospitals, on Wednesday, 27 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H. This meeting was held under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Omar bin Abdullah Al-Hazzazi, the Dean of the College of Health Sciences. The Vice-Dean of the College for Academic Development and Entrepreneurship His Excellency Dr. Mahdi bin Husain Al-Suqur, the Supervisor of the Department of Medical Emergency Services Prof. Ashraf Uwais, and the Head of Medical Secretariat Department Dr. Sultan bin Sa`d Al-Amri were present at the meeting.

Prof. Ashraf Uwais began the meeting by mentioning the goals of the regular meetings for students of the internship year. He mentioned some of the problems that faced some trainees. Next, he talked about the commendations of some physicians that were sent to the College from different hospitals concerning the performance of our students, their commitment, and their ability to learn the basic skills for medical emergencies.

On his part, the Dean of the College advised the students to seek Allah's reward in practicing this profession, to continue learning, seek to complete their postgraduate studies in their fields of specializations, and be keen to keep in contact with their College through the Department Supervisor and the Graduates Unit at the College.

His Excellency Dr. Mahdi Al-Suqur asserted the necessity of being committed to work and continuously gaining knowledge. He added that they should read all that is new in the field of Medical Emergency Services.

Students have offered their requests to the College Administration to arrange their training at hospitals and the Saudi Red Crescent.
