The UQU College of Computers and Information Systems hosted a delegation from King Abdullah University for Sciences and Technology (KAUST) at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, 11 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1440 A.H.
The visit aimed to introduce the University's program that supports entrepreneurship. An introductory meeting was held under the title 'How to Turn Your Idea into a Pilot Project?' in the presence of the academic staff and students. The meeting included an introduction to the Entrepreneurship Center at KAUST and the 'Taqadam' (Make Progress) Program.
The 'Taqadam' Program aims to support and accelerate the progress of the entrepreneurs, and develop their ideas and designs at an early stage, and then to turn these ideas into new companies with high potentials in the fields of technology, industry, health care, computer biology, new materials, internet of things, and software.
This event comes as part of the College's plan to support and develop the students' skills and the extracurricular activities, and encourage thinking outside the box. Moreover, it is part of the plan to emphasize the importance of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
