Initiative of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
It is an initiative of the College of Computer and Information Systems to develop software skills for those interested in artificial intelligence and machine learning (in Python programming language) among the male and female students of Umm Al-Qura University. This initiative seeks to enhance artificial intelligence and machine learning skills, such as 'Unsupervised Learning' and build predictive models and evaluate them with practical applications. The duration of the initiative will be a full semester (during the current semester) via a distance electronic platform. Mentors from the employees of the College of Computer and Information Systems will meet regularly with the students.
Objectives of the initiative:
Building the knowledge and skills required in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Providing students with practical skills that help in developing and supporting businesses.
Providing students with the opportunity to learn according to their personal schedules.
Achieving a real impact on job opportunities for students.
Contributing to achieving progress in artificial intelligence and machine learning skills in Saudi Arabia.
Program features:
Presenting the program completely via a distance electronic platform.
Experiment sessions with specialists in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
All participants who pass the program receive accredited certificates from the College of Computer and Information Systems.
Basic requirements for joining:
A computer with operating system: Windows, Mac, or Linux.
The participant should have a minimum of technical knowledge.
The participant should be proficient in the fundamentals of Object oriented programming and algorithms.
This mode enables people with epilepsy to use the website safely by eliminating the risk of seizures that result from flashing or blinking animations and risky color combinations.
Visually Impaired Mode
Improves websites visuals
This mode adjusts the website for the convenience of users with visual impairments such as Degrading Eyesight, Tunnel Vision, Cataract, Glaucoma, and others.
Cognitive Disability Mode
Helps to focus on specific content
This mode provides different assistive options to help users with cognitive impairments such as Dyslexia, Autism, CVA, and others, to focus on the essential elements of the website more easily.
Motor Impaired Mode
Allows using the website with a keyboard
This mode enables people with motor impairments to operate the website by using the keyboard Tab, Shift+Tab, and the Enter keys. Users can also use speech recognition software such as Dragon Naturally Speaking.
Colorblind Mode
Adjusts the website for colorblind users
This mode adjusts the website for colorblind users such as Protanopia, Deuteranopia, Tritanopia, and others. It also helps users with Cataracts and Glaucoma.
Dyslexia Friendly Mode
Helps users with Dyslexia
This mode adjusts the website to be easier to read for people with Dyslexia, which is a reading disability characterized by trouble with reading despite normal intelligence.
ADHD Friendly Mode
Reduces distractions and improve focus
This mode helps users with ADHD and Neurodevelopmental disorders to read, browse, and focus on the main website elements more easily while significantly reducing distractions.
Blindness Mode
Allows using the site with your screen-reader
This mode configures the website to be compatible with screen-readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. A screen-reader is software for blind users that is installed on a computer and smartphone, and websites must be compatible with it.
