Under the auspices of His Excellency Dr. Yasin bin Abdullah Al-Zubaidy, the Dean of Al-Qunfudhah University College, and with the support of the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs of the Female Section in Al- Qunfudhah, the following activities and programs were organized by the student clubs from 3 to 7 Rabi` Al-Awal 1440 A.H.:
The Health Club of the College of Medicine held the 'Antibiotics' program, in conjunction with the International Week of Antibiotics, from 12 to 18 November. The program included pamphlets, brochures, competitions, and a beneficial lecture by Dr. Eman, with a special video presentation introducing the benefits and drawbacks of antibiotics. A number of the college's vice-deans, the Vice Dean of the College of Medicine, and a large number of female students attended.
The Scientific Club, represented by the Physics and Chemistry Departments, gave a lecture on 'Desalination in the Kingdom', in which a presentation was made on methods of converting seawater to drinking water, tips for water conservation, and the importance of drinking water regularly. The lecture was given by Dr. Sumayyah Farid, and pamphlets, brochures, and gifts were distributed to the students.
The Arabic Language Club organized a workshop in the college annex entitled 'The Quality of Elocution.' The workshop started with a lecture introducing the art of elocution, and the distributions of pamphlets. Several female students gifted with a beautiful elocution and performance style gave a speech, for which they were congratulated. The workshop was held under the supervision of Dr. Sharifah Al-Zubaidi and Ms. Ayshah Al-Shihabi.
The Religious Awareness Club, under the supervision of Ms. Rokaya Al-Shaykhi, organized a clean-up campaign entitled 'For the Sake of our Annex', in cooperation with female members of the club and female students. This aim of this initiative was to train and encourage students in the area of cleanliness and adopt the slogan of cleanliness in their colleges, which are their second homes.
The students in Al-Kalim Al-Tayeb (the Good Speech) group for the promotion of good at the Religious Awareness Club launched the 'Bidayat Himma (Start of Inspiration)' program, which encourages students to volunteer for work in service of the community in general and the college in particular. Special presentations were given and songs performed and many leaflets and brochures were distributed.
The Support and Guidance Office at the Vice Deanship of Female Student Affairs, under the supervision of Dr. Nabila Al-Turki, gave a lecture on 'The Supremacy of Spirit'. It included advice and guidance on the adoption of good morals, consideration of and cooperation with colleagues, respect for teachers, and respect for the laws and regulations that preserve the rights of students. A large number of students attended and expressed appreciation for the attention they receive from the college staff.
