Dean of Engineering & Computer Colleges Meets with Officials from Al-Qunfudah Center of the Talented

Dr. Jaber Al Zahrani, dean of Engineering and Computer Colleges in Al-Qunfudah, met with Mr. Hassan Ahmed Al-Fakih, head of the Center of the Talented at Al-Qunfudah General Department of Education, and Mr. Yehia Khedr Al-Motahami, director of the center, on Tuesday 11/6/1439 AH. The meeting was attended by Dr. Alwi Ba-Mahdi, vice-dean of the College of Engineering; Dr. Obeid Al-Hadriti, head of Industrial Engineering Department; Eng. Ibrahim A’al Morea, head of Construction Engineering Department; Eng. Ahmed Azeb; and Dr. Abdullah Al-Zaharani, vice-dean of the College of Computer.

The dean started the meeting by welcoming the attendees; expressing his happiness and optimism over the two colleges’ readiness to cooperation with the Center in the fields of engineering and computer, which will benefit out talented students, who are the future leaders, and enrich their knowledge. 

Mr. Hassan AlFakih talked about the Center of the Talented and its activities to give attention to our talented and distinguished students so as to be promoted and qualified; in addition to the programs, initiatives and cooperation between the center and both colleges. Also, Mr. Yehia talked about the center’s interest in registering patents for talented students.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Zaharani, in turn, put together some proposals to facilitate cooperation and provide programs and training packages suitable for the talented students. Also, Eng. Ibrahim introduced the College of Engineering’s two departments of construction and industrial engineering, while Dr. Jaber Al-Zahrani talked about the current and future training programs for both colleges and explained their applicability to the talented students.

At the end of the meeting, all of them expressed their happiness over working and exerting efforts to spread knowledge and qualify the students so as to engage in the labor market, build and develop the homeland.
