The College of Health Sciences in Al-Qunfudha organized the Internship Introductory Day Forum on Thursday, 28th Shaaban 1438H at the Qunfudha Medicine College Theatre. The Forum aimed to prepare internship students well to begin such experience.
The Forum started with the speech of Dr. Ahmad bin Muhammad Al-Eisa, Dean of the College, in which he welcomed the students and staff members. He talked about the method to benefit from the internship year and the significance of training in practical life. He also urged students to utilize the year of internship in order to acquire necessary experiences in their specializations. Moreover, he recommended that they be the best ambassadors of their college to the various health facilities.
Dr. Al-Eisa concluded his speech with thanks to the College of Medicine for cooperation and hosting such Forum.
On the other hand, Dr. Ahmad Ismael, Supervisor of the Vice-Deanship for Hospital Affairs, spoke about the training plan for the year of internship and the duties of students during it.
Then, Mr. Hussain Al Nashiri (one of the graduates who passed the year of internship) spoke about lessons learned from such year and the method to overcome obstacles.
Afterwards, Dr. Alaa Al-Jalab, Supervisor of the Vice-Deanship for Development and Community Service, presented how to register online at the College's website and enter the students' wishes for training in hospitals and the Saudi Red Crescent Centers in Qunfudah. He added that according to the directions of its dean, the College installed such electronic program to facilitate receipt of applicants’ wishes and work to achieve them within a clear mechanism.
At the end of the meeting, students' questions and queries were answered.
