College of Applied Medical Sciences at Al-Qunfudah Celebrates Graduating the First Batch of Its Students

UQU College of Applied Medical Sciences at Al-Qunfudah has celebrated graduating the first batch of the Department of Emergency Medical Services students for the academic year 1437-1438 A.H.

 The ceremony was held on Tuesday, 20/08/1438 A.H. on the stage of the University College at Al-Qunfudah, under the patronage of Al-Qunfudah Governor, in the presence of Deans and Vice-Deans of University Colleges, directors of concerned government departments, staff and faculty members of various colleges, as well as parents of graduates. The ceremony was graced by a media delegation from the local press.

The ceremony was commenced by the royal anthem, followed by reciting some verses from the Holy Qur'an. Then, the Dean Dr.  Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Issa delivered a speech, where he welcomed the guests and congratulated the students for their graduation wishing them every success in their service to their homeland and to ensuring its progress. Then, he elaborated on the College of Applied Medical Sciences and its role in graduating professionals in medical disciplines to meet the needs of labor market in general and health facilities in particular with highly qualified and trained specialists. After that, he stressed the Kingdom’s endeavors and the Saudi Leader’s interest in tertiary education in general, and medical education in particular, through inaugurating new colleges across the Kingdom.  “Intellect formation is the most difficult mission ever. Graduating students armed with science, knowledge and manners is a pride to be celebrated.”, added Dr. Al-Issa.

Also, Dr. Al-Issa imparted the greetings and congratulations of UQU President Dr. Bakri Bin M'atoog Bin Bakri Assas to graduated students and their parents. After that, an introductory film on the College was streamed, including a brief on the successes, achievements and activities over the past year. Then “Ahmed Mohamed Halawani” delivered a poem on the occasion, which was applauded by the audience. This was followed by a students’ rally in the Hall, then the graduates’ statement delivered on their behalf by Hussin bin Muhammad Al Nashere.

Afterwards, the ceremony sponsor gave a guest speech thanking the College’s Deanship for organizing the event, congratulating the students for their graduation, and wishing them every success in their service to the homeland.

At the end, The Ex-Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences Dr. Turki bin Ali has been honored for his efforts in the College. Then, outstanding faculty members and admin staff have been honored for their efforts throughput the academic year, as well as their efforts to enable the College deliver its mission. Finally, memorial photos were taken for graduated students with event sponsor, the Deanship and guests.
