Under the patronage of the Vice Dean of the College of Computing in Al-Qunfudhah (female section), the college held an introductory meeting for the new female students. The aim of the meeting was to welcome and introduce the students to the college's vision, objectives, and regulations; describe the study plan; and list the future careers of the female students of the department. The meeting was attended in person on Tuesday, 7 September 2021 A.C.

At the beginning of the meeting, Her Excellency the Deputy Head of the Department of Information Science, Ms. Mona Al-Oufi, gave a welcoming speech in which she encouraged the students to start studying diligently and earnestly. Ms. Mona also introduced the objectives of the department, explained the department's study plan, and shed light on the future career of the female students of the department.

Next, Her Excellency the Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Hanan Al-Ghamdi, delivered a speech in which she welcomed the new female students and introduced the bylaws and rules that they should follow. In addition, Dr. Hanan Al-Ghamdi explained the students' rights and duties, advised the students to start the new academic year enthusiastically, and encouraged them to study diligently and to enrich their time with useful activities and programs that develop their skills.

After that, Yousra Al-Suhaimi, a female student in the seventh level who participates in the Computer Club, introduced the club and explained its objectives and the committees affiliated with it.
