Abstract
This study aimed to explore the challenges faced by Palestinian university students during distance learning in light of the COVID-19 pandemic from the student's perspective. To achieve this goal, the two researchers utilized a questionnaire consisting of 43 items distributed across three domains of challenges (academic, technical, and behavioral). The study was conducted on a random sample comprising 182 students (both male and female) from both universities. The research identified the most crucial challenges faced by university students during the pandemic, which include academic, technical, and behavioral challenges. The study revealed statistically significant differences, at the (α=0.05) significance level, in the degree of challenges faced by university students during distance learning amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, as perceived by the students. These differences were attributed to the variable of gender, favoring females, the university variable, favoring Palestinian Technical University, the academic level variable, favoring diploma students, and the college variable, favoring scientific colleges. In light of the study's results, the researchers have provided a set of recommendations.
