Curricula (courses):
Standard duration of biology program is four academic years (8 levels). The courses are organized and arranged to ensure start of the program every semester, when be accepted.
According to the requirements of Umm Al Qura University, there are curriculums relating to the Islamic culture, and the global levels of education is the dominant trend for university education in Saudi Arabia, so there is a mandatory English language course in the first level. In this regard, Umm Al Qura University believes that the promotion of English language skills is a prerequisite to enter into a new global cooperation and expansion in the future.
In accordance with the college’s requirements, the academic plan should focuses in the first year to learn the basic and applied sciences, such as general biology, mathematics, chemistry and general physics; this is what has been implemented.
The program provides a great flexibility in the choice of courses and extends students with scientific and biological wide base, which including a series of specialized curriculums such as zoology with its various branches, Botany with its various branches, Genetics, and Supplementary Courses… etc.
The Eighth Level contains a graduation project, and oversees the students' a group of distinguished professors to complete the project properly.
