The outputs of this research project should be as follows:

1. Acquirement of practical and theoretical knowledge about a specific field of biology.
2. Working independently or in groups in the research project under the supervision of an academic member of the department. 
3. The student should be able to design experiments to answer the specific question posed and to analyze the results critically. 
4. The ability to place the subject of the study (the project) in the context of the work done by other experimentalists.
5. Providing a literature review of the topic in previous studies.
