Emotional divorce and its relation with Gratitude, Type A behavior among a sample of married couples in Jeddah

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between Emotional divorce and both of Gratitude, Type A behavior among a sample of married ِ couples in Jeddah, also identify the difference between male and female in all study variables, this study includes a sample of married couples (N=300) their ages ranged between (30-50) years, they were evaluated using the Emotional divorce Scale, Gratitude Scale, and Type A behavior scale.The descriptive approach was used, both associative and comparative. the results showed that a negative relationship between Gratitude and Emotional divorce, appositive relationship between Type A behavior and Emotional divorce, also the results showed that wives are higher than husbands in all study variables. The study recommended preparing counseling and treatment programs to reduce the negative effects of emotional divorce and Type (A) behavior, as well as preventive and developmental programs to develop positive variables such as gratitude.
