This Unit is concerned with conducting studies related to meat of immolation (Hadei and Adahi), and the Kingdom's project for utilization of Hajj meat on terms of compliance with Islamic law and health conditions and fully utilizing these meats and their remnants, preventing environment pollution, besides conducting studies related to common epidemic diseases. The unit is also conducting studies related to animals exhaustion and methods of slaughtering, freezing, transportation, distribution and marketing.
It is noteworthy that the unit is reckoned the first research unit created in the institute since its inception as a research unit in King Abdul-Aziz University in Jeddah in order to make use of Hajj meat.
