In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and peace and blessings be upon the noblest of messengers our master Muhammad and upon all his household and companions.
The College’s laboratory medicine program offers a single specialty, which is laboratory medicine. Students in this specialty will be responsible for selecting and conducting suitable diagnostic tests in order to contribute to the prevention of disease; contribute to treatment as well; check test results and link them to pathological conditions; improve and develop the tests and experiments carried out at laboratories.
Moreover, graduates of the laboratory medicine program are responsible for management; organizational structure development; and qualitative quality assurance at laboratories. The duration of study in this specialty is four academic years in addition to the internship year. Through this period, the student, male or female, completes a total of 132 (one hundred and thirty-two) units of study over four full academic years, in addition to the internship year.
Until the year 1427 AH, twenty-seven male student classes as well as thirteen female student classes had been graduated in the specialty of the laboratory medicine program.
