All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds who best created man and inspired him the light of faith to be adorned with; and peace and blessings be upon the best of mankind, the master of the first and the other, our Prophet Muhammad, and on his family and companions, giving him much recognition.

In the name of me and on behalf of my colleagues and all the employees of the Department of Biology at Umm Al Qura University, I have the honor to welcome you and all those who join or actively participate in the Department of Biology to form a knowledge society that is familiar with the natural world in which we live and that surrounds us along with the biological diversity, to the relevant molecular interactions that are closely related to all biological and technological sciences and other environmental changes. This is in order to educate and increase the awareness of our students and our children; in line with the vision of the national leadership of 2030 through scientific curricula that enhance the foundations of natural exploration, which stimulates innovative creative thinking within research laboratories that encourage the development of knowledge and professional members and students of the department.

My sincere wish is that the efforts are exerted to achieve the vision of our wise leadership as well as achieve progress and development in the provision of services and activities, providing a high quality scientific research environment in line with the vision of the department and its members, and leading global leadership centers to achieve the vision of the national leadership of the comprehensive transformation 2030.
