The validity of the General Aptitude Test for university graduates is five years from the date of the test. The validity of the Standardized Test of English Proficiency (STEP) is three years from the date of the test, and the IELTS or TOEFL test is two years from the date of the test.
It is not possible to excuse oneself from one course in the semester because the regulation states in Article 23 that the deletion should be of all the courses of the semester.
The deadline for printing a scientific thesis shall be determined in accordance with the regulations for postgraduate studies in Article 51 for a period not exceeding four months, counted within the maximum period for obtaining the degree.
The time limit for the student's discussion of the thesis after the decision of the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies Council approving the formation of the discussion committee is a maximum of two months for a master's degree and three months for a doctoral degree.
A first class honors degree is awarded to students whose accumulative grade point average ranges from 3.75 to 4.00 at the time of graduation. A second class honors degree is awarded to students whose accumulative grade point average ranges from 3.25 to less than 3.75 at the time of graduation. The following conditions must also be fulfilled to obtain an honors degree: The student must not have failed any curriculum at the university or at the university from which they transferred. The student must complete the graduation requirements in a maximum time span equal to the average between the minimum and the maximum time for the degree (3 years for the master's degree including the methodological years, and 4 years for a PhD, including the methodological years).
