The unit reports to the vice dean of the college and works to assure quality and accreditation by setting a general policy for quality assurance and evaluate performance in all the academic and administrative units, spread a culture of quality and the continuous improvement of quality, and strengthen the university status compared to other higher education institutions.
Duties:
- Developing a general policy to ensure quality and evaluate performance in all academic and administrative units in line with the requirements of the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment.
- Disseminating the culture of quality, in collaboration with the higher accreditation committees, academic units and support deanships in the university environment and local community.
- Supporting continuous improvement plans in collaboration with the higher committees for academic accreditation to ensure the achievement of quality in the university.
- Providing support in the field of quality system implementation of the academic units and support the deanships of the university.
- Ensuring that the academic units and support deanships are using the models, manuals, and indicators of the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment in the quality assurance processes.
- Providing necessary recommendations and proposals to upgrade the quality of the outcomes of the academic units and support deanships.
- Contribute to boosting the efficiency of the human and material resources utilization in the university through continuous follow up and evaluation processes.
- Improving university competitiveness among higher education institutions.
- Coordinating with the training unit in the deanship to develop training programs related to quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Developing annual executive plans of the unit and submitting them to the deanship for approval.
- Implementing the executive plan of the unit after getting the necessary approval from the deanship.
