    An Overview of the Graduates Follow-Up Office

    The Graduates Follow-up Office is an affiliate office of the University Vice Presidency for Development and Entrepreneurship at the College of Computing in Al-Qunfudhah. It was established by virtue of a decision issued by His Excellency the UQU President, bearing No. 3903001433, dated 3/7/1439 A.H.

    The Graduate Office is responsible for the follow-up of the college's recent graduates and soon-to-be graduates, as well as recruiters and employers, in order to build a database. Accordingly, decisions can then be made to improve the college's educational outcomes and academic programs.

    The Mission of the Graduates Follow-up Office

    The Graduates Follow-Up Office at the College of Computing in Al-Qunfudhah seeks to consolidate effective communication between the college and its graduates, and help qualify them to find better job opportunities by aligning educational outcomes with labor market requirements, society's needs, and the rapid scientific development in this field of specialization.

    The Targeted Category of the Graduates Follow-Up Office

    1. Graduates from all departments of the college.
    2. Students in the final levels at the college.
    3. Employers and institutions operating in this field of specialization seeking to recruit college graduates.

    The Objectives of the Graduates Follow-up Office

    1. Communicating with the college graduates and the UQU graduates to align educational outcomes with labor market requirements.
    2. Qualifying the college graduates and helping them obtain job opportunities inside and outside the Kingdom.
    3. Creating a comprehensive database of the college graduates.
    4. Qualifying the graduates to venture into the labor market by holding training courses in different academic specializations of the college.
    5. Communicating with the College graduates through various means to enhance the relationship between the college and its graduates.
    6. Conducting research, studies, and surveys on labor market requirements and demand for the college graduates, identifying the required number of graduates for various specializations, as well as the quality and efficiency of the graduates and the nature of the required skills.
    7. Following up with the college graduates to ensure that the nature of the work available in the labor market suits their academic qualifications and specific skill sets through the preparation of numerical indicators and research studies that support the alignment of higher education outcomes with labor market requirements, as well as planning, follow-up, evaluation, and feedback.
    8. Gaining the trust of the Saudi and international communities in the outcomes of the educational process of the college's academic programs.
    9. Fostering the dissemination of the culture of quality and awareness about the importance of performance evaluation at all levels.
    10. Maintaining effective communication with the various work areas to find apt job opportunities for the college graduates conveniently and easily.
    11. Conducting special studies on the number of graduates from the college and the percentage of employment and unemployment among them, and communicating the results of such studies to interested parties.

    The Duties of the Graduates Follow-up Office

    1. Preparing the Graduate Data Form.
    2. Distributing the form among the students of the final levels at the college and the graduates of all disciplines, and compiling the data to update the database.
    3. Preparing special files for the graduates, preparing periodic questionnaires to measure the satisfaction of graduates with the services provided by the college, gathering the data to be communicated in a periodic report for discussion, and determining the corrective action accordingly.
    4. Building a database for graduates and recruiters and uploading it to the college's portal.
    5. Holding a special meeting for the students of the final levels at the college with the office officials to underline the importance of its role in linking the graduates with the labor market.
    6. Conducting a field study and using various means of communication to contact employers to determine the scope of the labor market needs for college graduates.
    7. Inviting alumni to special events and ongoing development programs at the college.
    8. Holding regular meetings for office members and the Vice Deanship for Development and Entrepreneurship, and preparing a quarterly report about the achievements of the unit and the progress of the plan.
    9. Holding an annual alumni day for the college graduates.
