With the aim of activating the World Autism Awareness Day, the College of Computing in Al-Qunfudhah organized an educational meeting entitled: "Supportive Technology for Autism Spectrum Disorder", on Saturday, 3 April 2021 A.C. The meeting was held remotely via the WebEx platform.

Ms. Maryam Al-Rashidi moderated the meeting, during which she discussed the definition of autism spectrum disorder, the impact of technology on children with autism spectrum disorder, ways to reduce the risks of technology, and the role of technology in worsening the condition of an autistic child. She presented examples of supportive technology, clarifying the situation of autism spectrum disorder before and after such technology as well as the difficulties that autistic people face when harnessing assistive technology.

Her Excellency the Vice Dean of the College of Computing in Al-Qunfudhah, Dr. Hanan Al-Ghamdi, thanked Mrs. Maryam Al-Rashidi for moderating this meeting.
