Celebrating End of Security Patrolling Staff Skills Development Program in Makkah

Under the auspices of UQU President Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq Assas, and in presence of Makkah Police Director, Brigadier Mohamed bin Zafir Al-Omari, UQU concluded the three-month program Makkah Security Patrolling Staff Skills Development, which was organized by the Training Department of College of Community Service and Continuing Education. The course was intended for Makkah security patrolling staff, and comprised 3 topics: intellectual security, communication skills with the public and coping with work pressure. 

The closing ceremony started with recitation of the Holy Quran verses, followed by an address on behalf of Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education given by the Deputy-dean and Head of Training Department Dr. Salem bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi, in which he demonstrated the importance of training and UQU efforts in increasing efficiency and honing capabilities of security staff of different levels to meet the actual needs of security authorities. He noted that offering such training courses serves one of UQU’s three objectives, including community service, which is to be accomplished through partnership between university and other government bodies in the security, military, and civil sectors. Al-Otaibi expressed appreciation for the UQU President Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq Assas, who attaches great attention to offering such special university training courses.

Next was an address delivered by Makkah Police Patrols Director, Brigadier Mohamed bin Saad Al-Sihaimi, in which he affirmed the care given by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to educating and training security staff in general, noting that the Security Patrols Department has followed a training approach based on advanced scientific standards that makes use of the distinguished experiences of professionals in the field, in effort to developing security patrolling staff. Al-Sihaimi extended his thanks and appreciation to UQU for providing such training course to about 208 trainees of Makkah security patrolling staff.

Later, UQU President Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq Assas gave his address, in which he welcomed security patrols staff and pointed out that presently both internal and external security and security men witness special attention by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin AbdulAziz, His Highness the honest Crown Prince, His Highness the Deputy Crown Prince, and His Highness Prince Khaled Al Faisal, Emir of Makkah and advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. Then, he extended his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the honest Crown Prince (May Allah protect them) for their boundless support and care to those programs aimed at developing security men of the Ministry of Interior in general and security patrolling staff in particular, noting that this segment works always in direct contact with citizens, residents, visitors, and Umrah performers equally.

At the end of ceremony, memorial shields were and certificates were presented to participants.
