The President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas, launched the mural titled, “Our Soldiers on Border” made by Art Education students for the subject “Mural Art.” The event took place on Thursday afternoon, (24^th Jumada II 1438H) at King Abdulaziz Historical Hall. This was in the presence of UQU Vice-Presidents, Dr. Ali bin Muslih Al-Matrifi (Dean of the College of Education), Dr. Suhail bin Salem Al-Harbi (Vice-Dean of the College of Education), Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ali Fahd Al-Hujeili (Head of the Department of Art Education), as well as staff members at the Department of Art Education. During the unveiling of the mural, the national anthem was played in recognition and gratitude to them.

The mural was executed by a group of students within the requirements of the Mural Art curriculum, under the supervision of Dr. Izzat Al-Batrawi. The students were Raed Abdullah Al-Ahmari, Fahd Al-Harthy, Hani Saad Al-Thaqafi, Mazen Al-Otaibi, Mohammed Bakr, Saif Al-Maliki, Radi Al-Omeiri, Abdulaziz Al-Harbi, Saleh Al-Jawfi, Abdulilah Al-Hadhali, Yahya Al-Malki, Othman Al-Fahmi, Abdel-Aali Al-Sharif, Faisal Al-Shahrani, Abdulrahman Al-Kubran, Saad Al-Osaimi, Mazen Al-Sharif, Mohammed Al-Otaibi, Mansour Luqman, Nayef Al-Deliwi and Wadeea Al-Otaibi.
