The Department of Tourism and Hospitality and the Department of Hajj and Umrah Managemnt welcomed a group of students from Zaat Al Sawari High School in Makkah Al-Mukarramah under the auspices of Dr. Sultan Bin Ayed Al-Bakmi, the Dean of the College of Business Administration, and Dr. Ahmed bin Abdul Qadir Al-Qarni, the College’s Vice-dean for the Academic Affairs.
Upon the students arrival , a commemorative photo was taken with Dr. Ali Ahmed Al-Qasem, the Head of Tourism and Hospitality Department, the Head of Hajj and Umrah Management and Dr. Yosri Nabil, a member staff.
The students then were walked around the College’s departments where they listened to a brief explanation about the roles and duties of each department. Afterwards, the students went to the Active Learning Hall where the deparment’s head gave a speech in which he provided a detailed explanantion about each department and the job opportunities for the graduates of these deparmtents. The head then explained the work nature in Tourism and Hospitality sector and provided more detailed explanation about the work within the hotel’s departments. He also talked about the Hajj and Umrah sector and the rarity of those specialized in this sector, despite its importance and need for Saudi qualified staff.
The students clearly responded and interacted with the talk about the departments of the College of Business Administration where they asked a lot of questions to Dr. Ali Al-Qasem, the department head, and Dr. Yossri Nabil, the staff member in Tourism and Hospitality Department. The meeting was then concluded by taking commorative photos with a promise to repeat the visit during the coming terms.
