Second Report of the Activities of the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs

The Vice Deanship of Student Affairs carried out several student programs under the follow-up and supervision of the Vice Dean of Student Affairs (female section), Dr. Nuwair Saeed Bajaber, which were launched during the opening evening of the Safwat Al-Mawahib Club, under the supervision of Ms. Taqwa Abdul-Karim. The event was held on Thursday, 28 Safar, 1442 A.H., in which a variety of female student innovations and talents were presented.

The Computer Club launched the initiative of golden advice: “Words from the Heart”, on Wednesday, 27 Safar, 1442 A.H. The initiative aimed at introducing the university phase and giving advice related to the graduation projects.

Within the framework of marking the World Mental Health Day 2020, the Guidance and Counseling Unit organized a lecture under the supervision of Sahar Al-Saadi entitled: “Mental Health Reassures Your Safety and Balance”, on Wednesday, 27 Safar, 1442 A.H.

The Scientific Club presented “Transit” on Monday, 2 Rabi` Al-Awwal 1442 A.H., and competitions were organized and awards were given to the winners.

In cooperation with the Vice Deanship of Student Affairs, the vice deanship organized a program entitled: “Cyber Psychology During the Coronavirus Crisis (Covid-19)”. The program was presented by Dr. Saeed Dardarah on Monday, 2 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1442 A.H.

In cooperation with the Creativity Office in Al-Qunfudhah Health Affairs Directorate, the Safwat Al-Mawahib Club organized a lecture entitled: “Creativity: Between Imagination and Knowledge”. The lecture was presented by Ms. Sarah Al-Sayyed, under the supervision of Ms. Taqwa Bashah, on Tuesday, 3 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1442 A.H.

The Sport Club also started the first of its programs: “Sport Is a Lifestyle”, under the supervision of Rahmah Al-Shamarani, on Wednesday, 2 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1442 A.H.

The Student Counseling and Guidance Unit organized a meeting entitled: “Examination Anxiety: Questions and Solutions”. The meeting was presented by Dr. Sahar Al-Sa`di on Wednesday, 4 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1442 A.H.

The vice deanship, represented by Ghiras Al-Amal Volunteering Club, carried out a number of voluntary initiatives under the supervision of Ms. Taqwa Abdul-Karim, including: “Success Package”, “Your Safety First”, and “The Journey is Safe”, for the female students of the Joint First Year Deanship on the first day of the midterm exams. Sterilizers and masks were distributed to the students.

The Family Science Club, under the supervision of Dr. Manal Abdul-Hafiz, presented a lecture entitled: “Proper Nutrition and the Best Foods to Boost the Immune System”, on Tuesday, 10 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1442 A.H.

And in collaboration with the Vice Deanship for Student Affairs (male section) and the Deanship of E-Learning, the Scientific Club held a virtual meeting entitled: “Writing Scientific Papers”, which was delivered by Dr. Awad Al-Rashidi on Wednesday, 11 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1442 A.H.

The clubs concluded their activities this month with a lecture by the Literary Club entitled: “Literary Creativity: Between Talent and Learning”. The lecture was presented by Dr. Firyal Al-`Ali on Thursday, 12 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1442 A.H.
