In accordance with the directives of His Excellency the President of the University to activate the distance learning system as one of the precautionary plans adopted by the university to face the outbreak of Coronavirus which resulted in the suspension of study, the Department of Curriculum and Instruction launched a package of executive programs and activities to support the university's plan in this regard. This support came in the form of e-training, for which the department held a number of training courses by specialized academic staff members in the field of technology and education technologies. These courses were attended by 120 male and female university affiliates from the different colleges through virtual classrooms and other social media platforms.
Moreover, the department produced educational videos and awareness brochures which contribute to upgrading the skills of the university affiliates in using applications and programs supporting distance education. They also sought to spread this information in such a manner which serves the largest segment of beneficiaries.
On his part, the Head of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, Dr. Fawwaz Al-Sulami, extended his thanks and appreciation to his fellow academic staff members who are in charge of implementing these programs and activities. He indicated that the department is honored to harness all its capabilities and resources to serve all university sectors and boost communication with them. He then praised the unlimited support received by the department from the UQU President, Vice Presidents, and the Deanship of the College of Education.
Dr. Al-Sulami announced the activation of technical support and technical consultation services for all the university affiliates through the department email: [email protected] or via the WhatsApp Number (0535020525) during the office hours, in support of the university's endeavors in this regard.
