The Voluntary Work Unit at the College of Medicine in Al-Qunfudhah started its first activity in line with the hadith of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), "I and the one who looks after an orphan will be like this in Paradise," He then pressed his middle finger and forefinger together, with a small distance between them.
From this perspective, the College of Medicine activated the World Orphans Day on Sunday, 1 Jumada Al-Thani 1441 A.H., under the patronage of His Excellency the Dean of the College of Medicine in Al-Qunfudhah, Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Saati, the supervision of the Vice Dean of the College (female section), Dr. Nawal Al-Hazimi, and with the participation of the college staff. The college hosted the female orphaned students from the 2nd Primary School, 2nd Intermediate School, 3rd Primary School, and the 1st Intermediate School to hold a social gathering and organize an outstanding program for them. The program was presented by a number of college staff and students, and included various sections, such as stimulating words about ambitions, success, facing difficulties, as well as interactive competitions.
Finally, the female students participated in the 'dream painting'. Wrapping up the event, Her Excellency the Vice Dean of the College honored the school students and their teachers, and handed out gifts to them.
