Under the directives of His Excellency the Dean of the University College in Al-Qunfudhah, Prof. Omar Al-Hazzazi, and with the supervision and presence of the Vice Dean of the College, Her Excellency Dr. Sharifah Al-Hazmi, a ‘Reading Challenge’ Competition was launched for the female students. The challenge was launched from the perspective of highlighting the importance of reading and its great impact on human development and land construction. The competition was held on Sunday, 29 Jumada Al-Thani, 1441 A.H., at the College Central Library. It was coordinated and implemented by the librarian, Ms. Areej Al-Hazimi, and the Director of the Library, Ms. Salihah Al-Nashiri.
The Vice Dean of the College praised this competition and stated that it is considered the best form of challenge. This is because it encourages the love of reading among the students, expands their perceptions, makes them appreciate the value of culture, and creates a spirit of competition among them.
