After that, the workshop started. It was moderated by His Excellency Dr. Ayman Adham, Vice Dean for Educational Affairs. Prof. Al-Husaini also spoke about the challenges and difficulties facing scholarship students abroad. He emphasized that studying for a master’s and doctorate degree requires a more seriousness and diligence than merely being an intelligent person. He also pointed out that the study requires a balance between personal and academic life and the two should not be confused. Al-Husaini warned against listening to frustrated and passive people.
The discussion then opened. Enquiries and questions from the attendees were taken in the second part of the workshop. His Excellency Dr. Basem Muhammad Anas Makhdum joined the Q&A session. He is the General Supervisor of the University Joint Supervision Program, and the former General Supervisor of the UQU Office of Scholarships. In the Q&A session His Excellency answered the enquiries of the attendees regarding the duties and obligations of the scholarship students and their relationship to the Saudi Cultural Mission. His Excellency also explained the regular steps that the scholarship students should follow, starting from the idea of scholarship until the end of the mission.
At the conclusion of the workshop, Dr. Ihsan Al-Muataz, Dean of the College of Business Administration, said that it is important to enjoy this stage of study and scholarship, and not make it too hard for yourself. His Excellency also thanked Prof. Khaled Al-Husaini for his work in the three workshops, and promised to hold more workshops in the future. He also praised the good turnout of the workshops, especially from the female side.
