On Sunday, Rabi’ al-thani 3, 1438H, the Department of Islamic and Comparative Education (Girls Section) held the 2nd Scientific Forum under the title “Disclosure of Information Sources in Scientific Research”. It was held at the Department of Islamic and Comparative Education at building (Y) at the meeting hall from 08:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
Noteworthy, the forum is part of the activities of the academic advising program entitled “Training Program for the Rehabilitation of Islamic Education Researchers” which has been organized in response to the recommendations of the 1st scientific forum for graduate studies at UQU, and the development plan of academic advising for the year 1438H that aims at enhancing the educational researches, and building the capacity of the researchers in the field of Islamic Education.
The event has been organized by master’s students under the supervision of Dr. Safiyah Abdullah Bakheet, Vice-Head of the Department of Islamic and Comparative Education, Dr. Iman Zaki Asirrah, Academic Advisor, and Dr. Amaal Outaibah. Noteworthy, it was moderated by students Sumayya Al-Thamali, Kawthar Al-Salmi, Nour Al-Ahdal, and Nourah Al-Sherief.
During the forum, a number of topics were discussed, including: the importance of information resources for researchers, knowing the traditional information resources, how to research through direct contact, the internet and its usage in scientific research, information resources in educational research, and how to reach the educational resources.
