Umm Al-Qura University
The College of Computing in Al-Qunfudhah (female section) organized a two-day workshop on "Learning About Hardware". The workshop took place on Monday, 13 Rabi` Al-Awwal 1441 A.H., from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and on Thursday, 14 Rabi` Al-Awwal 1441 A.H., from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Ms. Al-Jawhara Al-Zahrani introduced the students to the different hardware components, and the specific function of each piece. She also explained how the internal and external parts of a computer wire up together to form a working system.
At the end of the workshop, the students practically applied what they had learned during the workshop by disassembling the internal parts of a computer device, identifying them, and then restoring them to their proper places.
