On Thursday, December 22^nd, 2016, directed by the Dean of Business Administration College, and headed by Dr. Hatem Radwan, the students of the Tourism and Hospitality Department at the Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), visited Makkah Marriott hotel.

At the beginning of the visit, the hotel Director-General Mr. Khaldun Hijunah welcomed the student-made delegation. And he stressed on the importance of cooperation between the Tourism and Hospitality Department and Makkah Marriot hotel. The visit lasted for more than four hours: from half past twelve to half past four at noon. During the visit, Mr. Ahmed Almaghrabi, human resources director at the hotel, exerted tremendous, unfailing efforts. He familiarized the students with the hotel operation process with all its divisions included, starting with front offices, internal supervision, engineering and maintenance, laundry, kitchen, restaurant, housekeeping, meeting halls, staff’s lounge, human resources, marketing, sales, procurement and receipt area. During the visit, the head of each division spoke respectively about how the work goes within their divisions.           

The visit ended with exchanging thanks, together with pledging that such visits will be renewed and exchanged in the new future.
