At the theater of Al-Qunfudhah University College, a lecture entitled, "Some Rulings of Prayer", was delivered by Dr. Saqr Al-Ghamdi, Assistant Professor at the Department of Islamic Studies. The lecture was organized in cooperation with the Saudi Fiqh Society, the College's Vice Deanship for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, and the Department of Islamic Studies.
At first, Dr. Saqr highlighted the importance of prayer and its great status in Islam, indicating that it is the second pillar and a cornerstone in Islam.
Next, he presented the definition of prayer linguistically and Islamically, and explained the meaning of the Islamic legal ruling and its divisions.
After this, he started to talk about the rulings of the conditions needed for prayer, the meaning of condition, and the number of conditions for prayer, in addition to defining and setting examples for each of these conditions. Finally, he gave the opportunity to all the attendees to ask questions.
The lecture was attended by the Dean of the College, Prof. Omar Al-Hazzazi, the Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Yahya Al-Zahrani, a number of heads of the departments, academic staff members, and students. The lecture was concluded by Dr. Saqr being honored by His Excellency the Dean of the College.
