As part of the celebration of Umm Al-Qura University for obtaining institutional accreditation from the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA) affiliated to the Education Assessment and Training Commission, the President of Umm Al-Qura University, His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, honored the College of Computing in Al-Qunfudhah. This was on the occasion of the college being one of UQU's colleges which obtained accreditation, as its distinguished computer science program was accredited by the American Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).

On his part, His Excellency Dr. Jabir bin Saeed Al-Zahrani, the Dean of the College of Computing in Al-Qunfudhah, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the UQU President, deans, and faculty members for their generous support and lauded efforts that have contributed to obtaining this international academic accreditation.
